In the past it was tradition for the art of Ogoh-Ogoh making to use bamboo skeleton structures but in recent times this has transitioned into easier, more convenient materials such as styrofoam and plastic.
Gusti Ngurah Udiantana is reinventing tradition with his team of Bamboo weavers.
Adapting the same skills used to make Ogoh-Ogoh interiors, this Extra-Ordinary team hand- weave bamboo into contemporary sculptures of epic proportions. This Baris Dancer sculpture was commissioned for the Music Festival Soundrenaline in September 2018.
